Reading Seminar on "Algorithmic Game Theory"

Begin: Tue, 08. of Apr 2014 ( 2:00 PM)
Location: Lecture Hall F1.110

This is a seminar for PhD students, PostDocs and interested master students. It will be organized by Junior-Professor Alexander Skopalik and will take place during the summer term always on Tuesday around 2pm (starting at April 8) in the lecture hall F1.110.

We discuss topics that are related to our research areas and the SFB 901, e.g., equilibria, non-cooperative and cooperative solution concept; existence, convergence, complexity, efficiency (PoA); in games like congestion games, scheduling, network creation, networks and routing, facility location,..

We have an interesting paper or topic for each session. One of us prepares the material in a suitable manner, e.g. some slides or something on the board. But unlike most traditional seminars, the others have read and prepared themselves as well. We want to discuss and learn the topic at hand together. The one who prepared the topic is more a moderator and someone who leads us through the discussion process than a lecturer. Active participation and preparation is mandatory.
