Begin: Sat, 15. of Jul 2017 (10:00 AM)
Location: Berlin, Germany

The paper "Active Coevolutionary Learning of Requirements Specifications from Examples" written by Marcel Wever, Lorijn van Rooijen, and Heiko Hamann within a cooperation of the SFB 901 projects B1 and B2 wins the Best Paper Award on the Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO 2017).

The "Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference" (GECCO) presents the latest high-quality results in genetic and evolutionary computation since 1999. The conference in 2017 is a recombination of the 26th International Conference on Genetic Algorithms (ICGA) and the 22nd Annual Genetic Programming Conference (GP). Topics include: genetic algorithms, genetic programming, ant colony optimization and swarm intelligence, complex systems (artificial life/robotics/evolvable hardware/generative and developmental systems/artificial immune systems), digital entertainment technologies and arts, evolutionary combinatorial optimization and metaheuristics, evolutionary machine learning, evolutionary multiobjective optimization, evolutionary numerical optimization, real world applications, search-based software engineering, theory and more.

GECCO is sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Genetic and Evolutionary Computation (ACM-SIGEVO).

The Technical Program Committee of the GECCO 2017 conference has awarded the best paper within the track on "Search-Based Software Engineering (SBSE)" to Marcel Wever, Lorijn van Rooijen, and Heiko Hamann from the SFB 901 for their paper "Active Coevolutionary Learning of Requirements Specifications from Examples".

We sincerely congratulate Marcel, Lorijn, and Heiko on their outstanding success!
