On December 13, 2011, Professor Dr. Dirk Westhoff from the HAW Hamburg will give a talk about "Efficient Security Protocols for Dependable and Secure Wireless Networks" in the context of the SFB 901 colloquium.

Abstract:

In this talk we will give an overview about research activities at the working group 'Security in distributed Systems' at the HAW Hamburg. We present efficient Security solutions for dependable and secure wireless networks. From the project SKIMS we present means of system security for smartphones and sensor node as well as enablers for a secure communication in such restricted environments. As an outlook to the project Smart Power Hamburg we introduce PET technologies for Smart Grid.
